The Sun-kissed Sea

I remember sitting there and thinking, “My day just got better.”

The sight,
the sand,
the scent,
the sound,
the sun-kissed sea,

the soothing realization that the storm has passed at last.

By the Sea

Today the waves are singing in my ears
and the breeze asks me for a dance
The Sun holds back so I can stroll around
and take it all in
My heart begs to be taken away
and leaps with every boat that sails
I want to stay forever this way,
forever now, forever here!
My soul flies with the seagulls above
never bound, never confined
for I am a Summer’s child
and the Ocean calls for me
